With extensive experience working with students from around the world, William Academy has developed a reputation for innovation and excellence. William Academy is a co-educational private school listed on the Ministry of Education’s website with BSID number 889106 and 668187. It offers a range of classes from Grade 7 to 12, including university preparatory courses, art programs, sports programs, language programs, AP (Advanced Placement) courses, summer camp, exchange program, as well as Online courses.
William Academy’s Cobourg campus is located in the picturesque town of Cobourg, adjacent to the city of Toronto within 1 hour driving distance(or Via Rail). It is housed in a historic school building that was first built over 100 years ago and has been fully modernized and upgraded. The campus includes a library, dance studio, 3 indoor gyms, science labs, dormitories, and a lovely cafeteria, all of which can accommodate 500 students. The students staying in the dormitories have the chance to develop independence, enjoy time with their colleagues, and study in a technologically advanced environment. The school has close ties with the local community and gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the community with activities such as volunteering in the hospital, library, seniors’ homes and during the annual Santa Clause parade.
With a unique multicultural learning atmosphere, William Academy Cobourg campus has a strong appeal both locally and internationally, providing a platform for locals and international students to communicate, exchange ideas, and learn from each other. Currently, it attracts students from 17 countries around the world and is home to a diverse student body – no single language group makes up the majority. At William Academy, our goal is to have a variety of backgrounds where one is not dominant. The school has hosted students from Portugal, Hungary, Brazil, Argentina, Guyana, China, Vietnam, Egypt, Morocco, Russia, Middle East, South Africa, Mexico, Albania, as well as local students. William Academy Scarborough Campus is located in the city of Toronto; it accepts students for grade 11, 12 and University preparatory programs. William Academy Scarborough is well known for its arts program and spring board program which has more than 70% graduates accepted by the top-tier universities such as University of Toronto and University of Waterloo. William Academy Scarborough offer off-campus accommodation with 10 minutes school bus transportation.
